Was playing with the flickr button integrated in the new iPhoto last night (it’s the first time I’ve even logged into my flickr account in a year).

Perhaps it was a mistake to launch a new site (with a blog) just before leaving town for a little side project. I haven’t had many free moments to write a proper blog post.

Rest assured, new readers, I’ll be back to a normal schedule soon that’ll lend itself much better to writing about wonderful things both online and off.

Help me decide on my next Magic in Type project

Trying to decide which Disneyland attraction should be the subject of my next “Magic in Type project should be. I’ve started on the Matterhorn Bobsleds, Main Streen Train Station and The Haunted Mansion… I love them all so much, I just need a little help deciding on which one to focus on.

Lost and Found

This is my first introduction to Studio aka… I think I’m a fan. This film looks great. Textures are what really make or break animation for me. Lost and Found looks to have a great palette of wonderfully touchable textures.

Studio aka has completed a 25-minute film adaptation of the children’s book Lost and Found. The film, directed by Philip Hunt, will debut on the UK’s Channel Four on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day. It’s about the friendship that develops between a boy and a lost penguin who shows up at his doorstep. The film is narrated by Jim Broadbent and scored by composer Max Richter (Waltz With Bashir). Sounds like a charming film and looks promising too.

The book that inspired the movie by the same name is by Oliver Jeffers and looks to be very cute in it’s own right.
