It’s awesome. What is the scope of what you did? The platform that Slash rode up on? The disco lights on Fergie’s bodice?
Also, not to bring up a potentially sore point…but I felt like one segment of the “V” in the “LOVE” dance floor, the lights didn’t seem to work. (See video at 9:36 for what I’m talking about.) Am I correct?
I do casting and logistics for everyone on the field who’s not ‘name talent’. So anyone who wasn’t Black Eyed Peas, Slash, or Usher was mine to find, prepare, rehearse and get in the right place at the right time. It’s a similar story since SB 42 (Prince show). Concert crowd, flash mob, huge dance chorus, choirs of any shape and size, marching band that dances while they play and juggle. Whatever you need, I find them and get them to do your bidding.
You’re correct on that stage lighting. That whole apparatus is moved and connected by human power and, as much as we wish they didn’t, mistakes happen. Not sure exactly what happened on that particular wagon… but it didn’t go as planned.
Another sore note for me was something I had absolutely nothing to do with… the audio mix for TV was SO bad. No idea what caused it… but I have a hunch somebody got an earful about it.
