I started a beta test of a killer new online computer game coming from Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Online – Virtual Magic Kingdom. I didn’t get very far before I hit some application crashing bugs… but thats what betas are all about.
So far it looks great. As I learn more (and if it doesn’t violate any sort of confidentiality something-or-other) I will post here.
Update: VMK is in Public Beta now. That means you can go register and play for yourself at VMK.com! Have a blast.
Rustin- Hello, is it true that only castmembers are beta testing VMK? I’m visting the park July 15th for a week. I just wanted to test it out before I come to the park. After my vacation it just wont be the same. Your pictues are neat of Art Linkletter and everything else too. Thank you Shawna
Yes Shawna, just cast members for now. I’ve been able to dig a little deeper into the game and I’m sure when it goes live, Disney park fans are going to like it a lot!
I actually think that after your vacation you will like it even more. It’s a great little world that has been created that pulls the best stuff (and some new bits) from all the Disney theme parks. It really is quite slick.
PS How on earth did you find my little peice of the internet?!? I thought just my family read it.
I’ve heard rumors that beta will be open to the public on May 23rd. Is that true? (I heard it from a VMK fansite)

Not sure if you read above, but right now the beta test is only open to cast members who have pre-registered to participate.
I can’t give you any information about participating in the beta test at all.

Carolyn, I have no idea. I was helping out with the private beta test before it went public. I don’t play much anymore. I know if you visit on one of the Disney parks they have a Kiosk that you can get some points.
